Defendor

Bruined and beaten, arm in a sling, neck in a brace, Arthur Poppington sits in front of court-appointed psychologist Ellen Park. After making her swear to secrecy, Poppington begins to tell the story of his secret life as "Defendor" - yes, that's an "OR" - spelling is not one of his super powers. By day, Poppington directs traffic around road construction sites, but at night he dons a pair of black tights, a black jersey with a crude "D" duct-taped to his chest, and trawls the streets as his alter ago. As Defendor, Poppington engages in what he believes is a super heroic fight against crime in an attempt to fulfull his unrealized dream of capturing his archrival, Captain Industry - a gun trafficking crime lord who Poppington mistankenly believes is responsible for the death of his mother. Defendor's problems with the law begin with his intervention in a trick gone bad. When coming to the aid of Katerina Debrofkowitz, an underage prostitute, Defendor tangles with her pimp, Chuck Dooney - a crooked undercover cop. By doing so, Defendor bumbles his way into a criminal underwold, and the stage is set for a showdown with Captain Industry.

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

The Storm Warriors (風雲II)

Ekin Cheng and Aaron Kwok is reprising their roles as Wind and Cloud respectively in the comic-adapted "The Storm Warriors", the sequel to the ever popular "The Storm Riders" 11 years ago. Evil Japanese warlord, Lord Godless (Simon Yam) is intent on conquering China. In an effort to succeed, he imprisons all of the Chinese martial artists and attempts to make them subjugate. Amongst the prisoners are Cloud (Aaron Kwok) and the martial arts elder statesman, Nameless (Kenny Ho). Thankfully, Wind (Ekin Cheng) comes to the rescue, but all three are badly wounded during the battle to escape. Chu Chu (Tang Yan) also shows up and takes a direct strike from Lord Godless when she jumps in to save Cloud. The remaining martial artists sacrifice their lives to save the trio as they believe they are the only hope to beat Lord Godless and save the country.

Frozen Flower (Ssang Hwa Jeom)

In the end of Goryeo era politically manipulated by the Yuan Dynasty, the ambitious King of the Goryeo Dynasty organizes Kunryongwe. Hong Lim, the commander of Kunryongwe, captivates the King of Goryeo, and the Queen keeps her eyes on the relationship between Hong Lim and the King with a reluctant view. Meanwhile, the bilateral relation between Goryeo and the Yuan gets worse as Yuan demands to install the cousin of the King in the Crown Prince of Goryeo with ascribing it to no son the King has. The King refuses it resolutely, so the high-ranking officials of Goryeo, who are in submission to Yuan, are discontented with the king. One day, the King gives Hong Lim a covert yet unobjectionable order to sleep with the Queen instead of himself to protect the independence of Goryeo from the Yuan by making a son, the successor to Goryeo throne.

Tom Yum Goong

Kham's life is turned upside down when an international mafia syndicate, based in Australia, captures his two beloved elephants and smuggles them thousands of kilometers away to Sydney. The two elephants are far more than mere animals to Kham and his father; they are part of his family and were being prepared to be presented as a token of devotion to his Majesty the King of Thailand. The only way Kham can possibly save the animals is by venturing into a foreign land for the first time. Taking on a mafia group to rescue two elephants from a foreign country presents a huge challenge, even for a martial arts master like Kham. Despite the help of Sergeant Mark, a Thai police Sergeant based in Australia, and Pla, a Thai girl forced into modern day slavery, the going gets tough. Ong Bak

One dark night a former native of a rural Thai village has his men steal the head of the town's Ong Bak (Buddha statue) to win favor with ruthless Bangkok crime boss Khom Tuan. The locals regard the theft as a catastrophe, and seek a champion to retrieve their lost treasure. They find their man in Ting, an orphaned youngster raised at the local temple, and schooled by Pra Ku, a kindly monk, in an ancient system of Muay Thai: Nine Body Weapons. 4bia (Seeprang)

The movie comprises of four different stories of four different lives, directed by four directors. The first story tells a tale about 'Happiness' where a lonely girl finds companionship with a guy that she knows through phone text. The second story 'Tit for Tat' depicts the anecdote of a young artiste who is out to make a good-looking portfolio instead of a good movie. 'In The Middle' is more towards a parody of Hollywood movies with bits of humour and lastly, 'Last Fright' is a melodramatic story about a widow and her foe.
